Oriental Poppies are one of the most brilliant herbaceous perennials to grace the early summer garden.Three thousand years ago, gardeners were growing oriental poppies and their Papaver cousins around the world. Oriental poppy plants (Papaver orientale) have remained a garden favorite ever since. Papaver orientale, the Oriental poppy, is a perennial flowering plant native to the Caucasus, northeastern Turkey, and northern Iran.

A passionate nature and travel photographer loving it more and more as I travel the world. The more I travel the more I am in love with our planet and hoping and praying that we don't take it for granted and preserve the beauty for future generations. For the record I have visited all seven continents. Now we are doing country by country. Not sure if I will be able to see all that I want to see and experience in my life time.
